Gearing Up for the Fall season: The Big Ten

Briefly, because I know it is hard to have the end of August in site so soon when we all know there are many events and tasks that need planning and finalizing, here are important items to keep in mind:

1. Dues for 2009 have increased for USPC Participating Members and Corporate Members: Renewing: $85; New, joining 1/1/09: $95; New, joining in the fall: Add $25.

2. Club Sponsors continue until December 31st, (New USPC ByLaws are in effect now.)

3. Date of your Club Sponsor meeting: Please send that to me and confirmation that your Nominating Committee has been elected. Notice of your Annual meeting needs to go out to Sponsors 30 days prior to the meeting.

4. National Youth Congress applications due to DC and RS ASAP. When members are back to college or work, it is very difficult to get their application. Please give me a heads-up now on the members you expect to apply. I will send each club a list of those eligible and I will send you the results of our March survey on the priority criteria.

5. Morven Park HT volunteers October 4 & 5; VRPC again supplies these for our Morven discount. A coordinator is needed, please.

6. BRHPC Paper Chase October 5

7. Daniel Stewart October 17-19 Virginia Region Special: Notification of Sites and 4-hour time slots is coming. There will be mounted and unmounted activities with varying fees that VRPC will subsidize for our members.

8. C3/B test October 23, 24 at Morven Park

9. November 16th: VRPC Annual meeting in Warrenton.

10. December 30th: VRPC prep
