Championships News

Dear Champions and Families,

So that you know the basic information about our teams and attendees

at 2008 Champs I wanted to send you a brief list. I truly

appreciate seeing the photos you have sent and will share them with

all of you, but not all in one message.

I know there have been and will be some reports in the newspapers and

I hope that you will volunteer your report to your local news. Let us

know of any PR that you see.

The Fauquier Times- Democrat has a brief article, "Local riders excel

at Pony Club championships" in the August 6 issue.

This is the very basic information:

The Virginia Region sent 50 members to compete in Quiz, Eventing,

Show Jumping, Dressage, Games and Polocross. 31 horses went with the

members riding in teams. Thirteen members competed in Quiz.

Members represented these clubs -- Blue Ridge Hunt PC, Casanova-

River Bend, and the Headquarters Place Farm Riding Center.

Competitors came primarily from throughout the east coast, the south,

and midwest. Over 800 USPC members with 500 horses participated.

We sent a Quadrille Dressage team that rode compulsory tests and a

musical freestyle ride. The team was second overall and first in the

musical ride:
